The press office strives to present the work of the police to the public in a transparent manner. A trusting and good cooperation with the media strengthens the image of the police as a citizen-oriented, law-abiding and professional police force.

To this end, the members of the press office prepare press releases and process media inquiries. In the event of outstanding operations, they are the point of contact for journalists on site.

The main tasks of public relations are to make police work as transparent as possible and to make it interesting for young people interested in the police profession.
This is done, for example, with:
- Supporting public relations projects
- Dealing with inquiries from citizens
- Supporting presentations and information events
- Supporting the authority's internet and intranet presence
