The total number of crimes reported in the Rhine-Erft district in 2023 is 32,891. Compared to the previous year, this corresponds to a decrease of 1,701 reported crimes.

The number of crimes against older people with trans-regional perpetrators (SÄM-ÜT) fell from 74 to 35. Only domestic offenses from the aforementioned crime area were taken into account here. Offenses committed from abroad in this area of crime increased from 426 in 2022 to 493 in the reporting year.
