(jd) An 18-year-old man from Bad Oeynhausen was driving his Audi on Detmolder Straße in the direction of Bad Oeynhausen at around 6.16 p.m. on Saturday (August 2). At the same time, a 58-year-old woman from Bielefeld was driving her Ford in the direction of Exter. On a bend, the 18-year-old lost control of his vehicle on the rain-soaked road and skidded into the oncoming lane. There he collided with the woman from Bielefeld. The police officers called to the scene discovered that the tires of the Audi did not have the required tread depth. Both road users were injured in the accident. After initial treatment by the ambulance service, the woman from Bielefeld was taken to hospital for further treatment. The damage to both cars amounts to around 9,000 euros.
